okay so I am officially in love with the house of night series!!! I don't think there is another vampire book in the world like it. The first sentence caught my attention... talk about freaky... having a dead person stare at you and BAM! you have a moon in the middle of your forehead! and if some of you haven't figured out... yes, I am a vampire-addict. Anyways back on the subject. if you haven't read the House of Night series you need to!
Marked- The first book of the series, this is when you meet the victim of becoming a fledgling vampyre! at age six teen Zoey Redbird enters the house of night with powers she doesn't even know she has. She's not the only one with special powers either, Aphrodite, the leader of the dark daughters and the biggest hoe in the house is using her powers for evil & when Zoey finds out about this she has to go deep within her heart and get the courage to take Aphrodite down. With the help of her friends (they will be mentioned later on) Zoey takes over a smaina ritual when Aphrodite brings spirits of the dead....
Betrayed- The second book of the series! Zoey is settling into the House of Night with much comfort. everything was going fine until the unthinkable happens. humans are missing and the blame is on the House of Night. as Zoey learns that the kids gone missing are her ex human boyfriends best friends. When Zoey goes out to find out who is taking the humans, as she discovers that neferet, the "principal" of the school is turning the fledglings that reject the change into a army of undead. as Zoey tries to stop her heath (her ex human boyfriend) gets taken and her best friend steive rae johnson.... rejects the change and dies in Zoeys arms ='( Zoey finds heath in the tunnles under the tusula port tied to a mattress with cuts and wounds on his body.... Neferet finds Zoey saving them and erases their mind, but Zoey uses her power to wash the darkness away from her mind and she remembered everything.. when the cop max takes her back to the House of Night she tells Neferet that she will stop her with her plan to take over the world, because neferet says that no one will believe her and the goddess Nyx will punish her for her "wrong doing.."
Chosen- the third book in the series and were i will have to stop... anyways Zoey is now the leader of the Dark Daughters, when she starts seeing the undead kids showing up again, one of them being Stevie rae, who is trying hard to hold on to the little humanity that the element of earth (she has the affinity of earth) close to her, because its the only way Zoey will be able to save her. a lot happens in this book. Zoey is juggling three boyfriends: Heath Luck, Erik Night, and the poet vampyre Lauren Blake, who is only seducing her because Neferet tells him to. Basically, Zoey imprints with Heath and then starts dating Erik, and while seeing Heath secretly shes dating Erik and Lauren is seducing her and breaks the imprint between Heath and Zoey, Erik finds Lauren and Zoey together and gets pissed. and now the only people who truly trust her are her friends, that is until they find out that she has hid things from them and lied to them. So when she needs their help to change stevie rae back into a fledgling... but then aphrodite loses her mark and becomes human again. Aphrodite freaks out and runs off campus and stevie rae follows.
